About Santa Cruz AIDS Project
The Santa Cruz AIDS Project (SCAP) is a health, education and advocacy program serving men, women and children who are HIV positive living in Santa Cruz County. As part of Encompass Community Services, our mission is to promote and participate in a comprehensive and compassionate response to HIV and AIDS through valuable services to the Santa Cruz County community.
The Surf City AIDS Ride is a longtime community tradition for our organization and the biggest fundraiser of the year for SCAP. The ride is for serious athletes as well as bike riders who just want to have fun cycling the beautiful scenic roads of the Central Coast while supporting a great cause. This year, we are featuring four new routes, blending the best of the redwoods and the cost. We hope you will join!
All proceeds from this event go directly to SCAP. Your support helps us provide direct services to people in Santa Cruz County living with HIV, such as benefits counseling, housing support, our food pantry, and wellness services. We help the most vulnerable members of our community live more fulfilling lives.
