Encompass Community Services is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Bobby Singh, MD, as our new Medical Director, further strengthening the agency’s leadership in providing compassionate, evidence-based care across Santa Cruz County. 

A physician specializing in Addiction Medicine, Dr. Singh brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to helping individuals and families heal. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Thomas University in Houston, TX. He then worked as an Internal Medicine hospitalist at several hospitals across the country, including in Arizona and Nevada. Later, Dr. Singh completed a two-year fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Stanford University where he trained under nationally recognized leaders in the field. 

While at Stanford, Dr. Singh was impressed by a select few intensive outpatient programs in San Francisco—most notably Camden Center—that offered top-rated quality care and broad clinical support under one facility. Inspired by these models, along with his own family and professional experiences, he became determined to bring this caliber of care to Santa Cruz. 

At Encompass, Dr. Singh will lead a multidisciplinary team as the senior clinical leader across all medical service areas. This includes residential treatment, withdrawal management, outpatient behavioral health, and Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT). In his role, he will oversee clinical quality, ensure compliance with medical protocols and regulatory standards, and guide the integration of trauma-informed, culturally inclusive care throughout the organization’s programs.

In addition to his role at Encompass, Dr. Singh serves as Co-Founder and Medical Director of The Key Addiction Treatment Center, a physician-led program offering intensive outpatient therapy and residential rehabilitation in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. Through both organizations, Dr. Singh is committed to collaboration. He will work to build bridges between healthcare providers, families, and community partners to ensure clients receive coordinated care and ongoing support at every stage of recovery.
