Encompass Community Services is pleased to announce that Kim Morrison has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective February 23,2026. Kim has served as Interim CEO since October, and has been a long-standing member of the Encompass Leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. During her interim tenure, Kim provided steady leadership through a period of organizational transition and complex program challenges, helping ensure continuity of services and stability for staff, clients, and community partners.
“Kim has led Encompass with integrity, transparency, and deep care for both our mission and our people,” said Elaine Johnson, Chair of the Encompass Board of Trustees. “Over the past several months, she has guided the organization through an incredibly challenging time with calm resolve and thoughtful leadership. The Board has full confidence in Kim and is thrilled to formally appoint her as CEO. We are grateful for her dedication and confident in her ability to guide the organization forward.”
As part of this transition, Encompass has promoted two internal finance leaders to continue supporting the agency’s financial operations. Brendan Wilson has been promoted to Finance Director, and Brittany Hoey has been promoted to Senior Manager and will continue serving as Controller. Both Brendan and Brittany will report to Kim, and the CFO position will not be backfilled at this time.
Under Kim’s leadership, Encompass will continue advancing its mission to provide compassionate, high-quality mental health, substance use recovery, and housing support services to the Santa Cruz County community.
