The Encompass Outpatient Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) Program is designed for people struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) who can safely be treated in an outpatient versus residential setting. Our goal is to meet every person where they are in their recovery journey, regardless of insurance status.
This low-barrier program provides rapid support to people struggling with one or more substance use disorders, offering treatment plans designed to best meet the person’s needs. Our team includes advanced practice providers, nursing, and peer recovery specialists. Most people can be seen within 24 hours in-person or virtually to avoid long wait times for appointments. Our peer specialist works with our community partners including the courts, emergency departments, residential facilities and outreach programs to support people transitioning into our outpatient care. We also have the ability to provide care for underinsured and uninsured individuals.
No referral needed. Walk in to our Encompass location at 380 Encinal Street, Suite 200, and our clinicians can help you begin your road to recovery.
Our Approach
Our program utilizes a medical clinician and a peer recovery specialist to assist clients in treatment goals, which may include medication management, SUD counseling, and links to services such as housing, health care, transportation, and employment.
We also offer harm reduction services including naloxone (Narcan), fentanyl test strips, and community referrals. Telemedicine visits also available.
Our MAT program also uses Contingency Management (CM), a behavioral intervention that employs incentives and rewards for success in recovery and demonstrated by negative urine drug screens for stimulants. It is the treatment of choice for persons struggling with the use of stimulants such as methamphetamines and cocaine.
We are CARF accredited!
CARF is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits health and human services programs. CARF accreditation indicates that Encompass has met rigorous standards and focuses on the needs of the people it serves.
Referrals for other services, such as withdrawal management, residential treatment, and community recovery supports are also available.
