Please describe what you do for Encompass.
The Finance Team helps plan budgets to ensure the company can meet its objectives of serving clients’ early education, housing, substance use disorder, and mental health needs. Additionally, we handle invoicing, reconciliations, financial monitoring, and reporting. We are the numbers people.
What made you want to join the Encompass team?
Many of us joined Encompass to help make a difference in the lives of the residents of Santa Cruz County; some of us were drawn to work for the company we personally knew as beneficiaries of Encompass’ community services, and all of us were attracted to the tremendous positive impact Encompass has had on so many lives in our community.
What's something you want others to know about Encompass?
We know everyone wants to leave a positive mark in the world. Volunteering in the community is one way people make a difference; another way to make an impact is through the donation of cash, securities or real estate to Encompass or one of its programs, which we can use to fill in any budgetary holes to maintain or expand services. As a 501c3 official nonprofit, and recipient of county, state, federal, and foundation money, you can count on Encompass to put your money to good use, and donations are typically tax-deductible.
