Family Urgent Response System (Cal-FURS)

The California Family Urgent Response System, or “Cal-FURS,” is a coordinated system designed to provide in-person support to youth and families facing immediate challenges.

Current or former foster and probation youth (up to age 21) and/or their caregivers can access immediate help, 24/7, 365 days a year from a centralized call center.

Simply call or text (833) 939-FURS (3877)

Cal-FURS then connects the youth or their caregivers to a team of on-call Encompass counseling staff who provide guidance, support, and connections to critical resources.

Encompass Community Services received its first three-year CARF accreditation in July 2019, and reaccredited in 2022.
